TOM SALOMONE
Tom Salomone is the current president of the National Association of Realtors.  As president he is the head of their Board of Directors and Leadership Team.  In addition, he serves as the Chair of the Executive Committee and as a member of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® North Broward Chapter.  Known as the Voice for Real Estate, the NAR represents 1 million REALTORS involved in every area of the commercial and residential real estate industries.
In addition to all of his volunteer work, Tom also works primarily with residential real estate as second-generation REALTOR® and Broker/Owner of Real Estate II, Inc.  He currently resides in Coral Springs, Fla, where he does his real estate work.
Tom’s experience goes all the way back to 1980.  From 1980 to 1994 he was the chair of all the committees associated with the North Broward Association of REALTORS. In 1992, he was named their REALTOR of the year.
Flash forward to 2001 and 2003 when Tom was the treasurer and president, respectively, for the Florida REALTORS.  He was also the Region 5 Vice President in 2007, serving several states including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Before serving as NAR’s president, he was previously their President-Elect in 2015 and Vice President in 2014.  Before that, he served as NAR’s Director of REALTOR® Party Activities in 2012 and the committee liaison for the Issues Mobilization, Political Involvement, and REALTOR® Political Action Committees.  Prior to that in 2011
He was NAR’s President-Elect in 2015 and Vice President in 2014, prior to serving as their president.  Before that, he served as NAR’s Director of REALTOR® Party Activities in 2012 and the committee liaison for the Issues Mobilization, Political Involvement, and REALTOR® Political Action Committees.  Prior to that in 2011 he was the committee liaison to the REALTOR® Party Coordinating Committee, the RPAC Fundraising Forum, and the RPAC Trustees Committee.
Tom is also a huge sports fan and serves the community in this way also. Â He has been the coach of more than 46 sports teams and been an Amateur Athletic Union and United States Specialty Sports Association member. Tom is also brilliant in business, which he has utilized for serving as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, a Coral Springs Charter School Business Sponsor, and a Water Control District Supervisor. Â Tom currently resides in Coral Springs, Florida with his wife Diana and has two sons, TJ and Bryce, who work in web design and the insurance industry.
