Author and Financial Journalist

As an author and financial journalist, Robert is a regular writer for Mortgage Banking and Banking Strategies. Many of the issues Robert has written on are financial institutions and markets, issues regarding retirement income, business strategies, the economy, banking and corporate finance, and our aging population and its impact on the financial economy. He has garnered much recognition from the Wall Street Journal, who wrote about an article of his titled “Mr. England writes on the 2008 crisis with harrowing precision.” He is the author of the books Black Box Casino and Aging China. From 1993 to 2003, Robert served as the correspondent for Washington for the Plan Sponsor Magazine.

During some of the time that he was a Washington correspondent, Robert was also the Global Aging Initiative director of research at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. He had three books published by this organization, all of which discussed aging’s effect on the government spending money for the elderly, financial markets, and the worldwide economy.
