The core purpose of the Inland Valleys Association of REALTORS(r) is to help its members become more profitable and successful, while promoting, protecting and preserving real property rights. As one of California’s biggest REALTOR associations, the Inland Valleys of Realtors offers a large array of products and services to teach its members about the competition and getting ahead in the real estate marketplace. At over 6,000 members and 119 affiliates, IVAR is dedicated to providing to the needs of its members and has been recognized as an industry leader for real estate. The Inland Valleys Association of Realtors offers services from REALTOR education and training, advocacy in government affairs, multiple listing services, and professional standards for both oversight and meditation. Most of their products are designed to help increase productivity while at the same time helping to cut back on the amount of time and money spect as well as meet the needs of every member involved.

Steve Manos 2012 Past President

Steve-Manos-smallSteve Manos majored in Business Economics at UCLA then entered the real estate field in 1996. He became a broker-owner in 2001; founder of Prima Vista, REALTORS, CalTRUST Mortgage, and Alyssa Escrow and has serviced over 1000 real estate transactions over the course of his career. Steve is the 2012 Past President of the Inland Valleys Association of REALTORS. He also serves as a Director for the California Association of REALTORS and, in 2011, was Director for the National Association of REALTORS.  Currently, he works as a Broker Associate at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.  In addition, he serves as a council member for the city of Lake Elsinore.  Prior to this, he worked as an Executive Broker at Prima Vista, REALTORS. Steve is a devoted volunteer and charitable contributor, serving his church and community. He is a Sector Commander and founding member of the Lake Elsinore major disaster Citizen Emergency Response Team. Born in Santa Monica, California, Steve is a lifelong Southern California resident. He has been happily married since 1999 and is a devoted father to four children.

3090With nearly 20 years of real estate and community development experience, Mark serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the nonprofit, Inland Valleys Association of REALTORS® or “IVAR”. With more than 4,000 members, IVAR is one of the largest REALTOR® associations in California, and ranked 75 largest nationally. At its core, IVAR provides a variety of support services that help its members be more competitive in the real estate marketplace. Key services include: REALTOR® education and training, government affairs advocacy, multiple listing services, and professional standards oversight and mediation. Prior to his position with IVAR, Mark served as the Economic Development Agency Administrator for the County of San Bernardino where he had the responsibility of overseeing four departments: Housing and Community Development, Workforce Development, Economic Development and the Redevelopment Agency. With more than 220 employees and combined department budgets in excess of $190 million, the Economic Development Agency (EDA) was tasked with facilitating economic growth and improving quality of life for the largest geographic County in the United States. A licensed real estate broker for more than 13 years, Mark was previously Vice President and Partner with De Oro Properties, LLC, a full service real estate development company focused on infill housing. His primary responsibilities included the development of single family home subdivisions, as well as the acquisition, rehabilitation and resale of approximately 200 single family homes. Mark also served more than six years on the County of San Bernardino Planning Commission, twice serving as Chairman; and in 2010 he was the American Planning Association, Inland Empire chapter, “Citizen Leader Award” winner. Moreover, Mark was a board member for the Baldy View Chapter of the Building Industry Association, as well as a past Southern California District Representative for the California County Planning Commissioners Association. Mark earned his undergraduate and Master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Fullerton. Additionally, in 2009 he served as an adjunct professor at Cal State University, San Bernardino where he taught a graduate level course in land use planning.

Paul Herrera Government Affairs Director

3091Paul Herrera is the government affairs and communications director for the Inland Valleys Association of REALTORS®. He serves as an advocate for REALTORS® and their clients on local issues, helping to preserve and protect property rights and the value of homeownership. Working with colleagues at the California Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®, Paul helps members make a difference for their clients at the local, state and federal levels. His unique experience includes an award-winning journalism career with newspapers in Florida and California where he covered real estate, small business, the aviation business and the confluence of government policy, politics and business. His coverage of real estate and growth in Florida earned him top honors from the Florida Press Club in 2002. In 2004, he won first place for in depth business writing from the California Newspaper Publishers Association. After journalism, Paul served as communications director for the San Bernardino County Economic Development Agency, coordinating everything from press outreach to speeches and video production. In four years with the agency, he oversaw external communications, managed a communications team and helped publicly position a variety of projects and initiatives. The combination of mass media experience, local expertise, policy and political background and understanding of real estate issues prepared him to lead IVAR’s government affairs and communications efforts through coalition building, strong messaging and technical understanding. Paul earned his Bachelor’s of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
