Katie Coates helps real estate developers get approval at public hearings as they work through the entitlement process. She has obtained Yes Votes for her clients at dozens of
city council, planning commission, and regional and state agency public hearings.
Even “hopeless” projects get approval by overcoming opposition and building community support.
Katie lectures at several Southern California universities on the topics of developing and implementing effective community outreach programs and crisis communications.
She earned her BA in Political Science from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (California), and a Certificate in Public Relations from the University of California – Irvine. She is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) by the Universal Accreditation Board. In her spare time, Katie travels, reads, and dances ballroom and country style. She also attended the acting program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
